BACHELOR OF SCIENCE (PHYSICAL THERAPY)

OVERVIEWS

The program is a 4-year-full-time study. In first year of the study, students study basic sciences, social sciences and languages. In addition, introduction to physical therapy and basic health sciences related to physical therapy are required, for example, anatomy and activities of daily living etc. Passing to the second year, students study more basic subjects in physical therapy and a subject for physical therapy clinic. In the third year, students gain knowledge and skill in any evaluations and treatments for physical therapy, for example, therapeutic exercises, thermotherapy and electrotherapy, physical therapy in musculoskeletal conditions, physical therapy in neurological conditions, physical therapy in cardio-pulmonary conditions, physical Therapy in pediatric conditions and physical therapy in sports. Besides, students have to get experience in clinical practices at physical therapy and hydrotherapy clinic, faculty of allied health sciences, Thammasat university hospital and hospitals across Thailand. In the final year, students have more clinical practices and study subjects laterally to physical therapy, for example, laws, ethics in physical therapy and pharmacy. Furthermore, student needs to do a mini-dissertation related to Physical Therapy..

After graduation, students need to pass physical therapy licensing examination, according to regulations of Physical Therapy Council of Thailand.
